High on Altitude and High on Numbers At The Mexico Grand Prix
In 2015 when the Mexico Grand Prix was added to the Formula 1 calendar the race was expected to be a war of attrition. High altitude was supposed to throttle turbochargers into submission and consequently we were told to expect broken down cars all over the circuit.
Things have not worked out as planned. Last year 21 cars completed this race, the only exception being an opening lap crash casualty. In 2015 just one car succumbed to mechanical failure. Suffice to say we are opting for more of the same and our headline bet is for 16.5 or more finishers (6/5 with Bet 365).

|Tips||Over 16.5 finishers Best Bet||@ 6 / 5|
|Sergio Perez Top Six Finish||@ 2 / 1|
|Force India Double Points Finish||@ 8 / 13|
The Mexican circuit may be a short lap – meaning it must be raced around 71 times – but three long straights also make it a fast circuit and that means, once again, Mercedes' territory. The German team have qualified 1-2 and finished 1-2 in the two races staged here to date and so Lewis Hamilton fully justifies his 5/6 price for race victory.
Mexican to get the Max
But that’s not a get-rich-quick price and we are forced to look elsewhere for some value. Sergio Perez is our shout for three reasons: He is set to perform before his own fanatical people and, more importantly, he has a Mercedes powered car and his team, with fourth place in the Constructors Championship in the bag, may well give him priority ahead of his teammate, Esteban Ocon. Bet Victor are going 2/1 about a top-6 finish for the reliable home boy and that looks a great proposition.
In fact, both Force India drivers finished in the points last weekend as Ocon took his record to 26 consecutive race finishes and he has a 16-from-17 points-finish record this season. Perez is now 14 from 17 for points finishes in 2017 and has retired just once from his last 47 starts.
Combined those stats make the 8/13 on offer about the team enjoying another ‘double points finish’ (B365) really attractive and our final recommended bet of the weekend.
