Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe Betting Preview And Tips

A star-studded field will line up for Europe's most valuable Flat race on Sunday afternoon at Longchamp as the 2018 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and it's last year's heroine Enable that is a red-hot favourite for the Group 1 showpiece and she heads the betting, but John Gosden's class act will have a whole host of world class middle distance horses aiming to etch their name in the illustrious roll of honour.

Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe Odds

A fine two-length winner of the race 12 months ago, Enable only made here return to the track last month at Kempton Park, but she scorched down the all-weather to beat Crystal Ocean in the September Stakes to cement her place at the head of the Arc betting, and she is currently the 11/10 jolly with Paddy Power to emulate the mighty Treve and win back-to-back Arcs.

With her stablemate Cracksman not lining up, Enable will have an easier task, and if she can build on that recent Kempton win then she should be able to cruise to victory, and if the heavens were to open in Paris then she will relish the testing conditions and it's hard to see her not winning this with aplomb.

A dual Group 1 winner, Sea Of Class is one of the star three-year-old fillies on British shores this season, and the daughter of Sea The Stars, who won the Arc in 2009, can land a significant blow at 7/2 with William Hill, while St Leger hero Kew Gardens will be looking to hand Aidan O'Brien more success in this prestigious race and the Ballydoyle raider is 11/1 with Betfred.

Andre Fabre's Waldgeist has won his last four races and will be one of the premier European challengers for this year's race and at 7/1 with Betfair Sportsbook could be the solid each-way bet for punters, while Capri (33/1) and Study Of Man (25/1) will be another brace of lively contenders.

With such quality at the head of the market then there's some value to be had lower down the betting, but Cloth Of Stars and Talismanic (both 40/1) should struggle to live with the likes of Enable and Sea Of Class, and it's the former that has to be backed here at 11/10 with Paddy Power, as she can etch her name into greatness.
