KLM Open 2019 Betting Tips
Lee Westwood heads to the KLM Open as the bookmakers' favourite, while Eddie Pepperell and Matt Wallace are also short-priced as they bid to bounce back after missing out on a wildcard pick from Thomas Bjorn for the European Ryder Cup team.
Our selection is the ultra-consistent Matthew Southgate at 40/1 though. The course at The Dutch Spijk is suited to accurate players who find greens in regulation on a regular basis and this layout looks to be suited to a tidy player like Southgate.
The Englishman has been playing well of late as he tied 5th at the Open De France to start a run of six consecutive events without missing a cut, during which he has finished in the top-25 of the Scottish Open, Nordea Masters and Made In Denmark.
The 29-year-old is still searching for a first win on the European Tour but he looks decent each-way value at the very least in this limited field.
KLM Open 2019 Odds
The KLM Open is one of the rare events to be held in Holland and in itself is a rare betting opportunity. It has moved around in the European Tour calendar but is currently held in September, and offers an opportunity for players to pick up valuable points in the Race To Dubai.
The tournament, previously known as the Dutch Open, was held from 2006 to 2009 at the Kennemer Golf and Country Club before it moved to the Hilversumsche Golf Club in the Netherlands, although it returned to Kennemer from 2013. In 2016, the host venue became The Dutch Spijk.
