The Belgian Knockout Betting

The Belgian Knockout is an exciting addition to the European Tour calendar this week and the in-form Adrian Otaegui looks like a great bet. The tournament features a straight strokeplay with a cut for the first two days and Otaegui arrives in form as it is now seven months since he missed a cut, while he has racked up five successive top-20 finishes (12-10-12-19-2).

Otaegui, a former winner of the Paul Lawrie Match Play, should then enjoy the matchplay format over the weekend and he can be backed at 33/1 with Betfred (each-way terms - 1/4 odds on 4 places).

Awaiting Odds...

The Belgian Knockout was added to the Race To Dubai schedule in 2018 and it marked the first time in 18 years that a European Tour event had been held in Belgium. The first two days of action at the Rinkven International Golf Club in Antwerp involve the usual strokeplay and a 36-hole cut, with the top-64 players moving on to the weekend's knockout brackets.

There will be three rounds of knockout matches on Saturday, with each knockout match involving nine holes of stroke play, before the remaining eight players progress to Sunday.

The format makes for an interesting betting heat and it will be interesting to see how the bookmakers price the odds up this year.
