Three Each Way Bets For The World Cup Golden Boot Award
The battle for the Golden Boot at the World Cup is always one of the more intriguing storylines and it is a wide open betting market for the top goalscorer award this year. Is it all about Neymar v Lionel Messi v Cristiano Ronaldo? Not according to the latest World Cup top goalscorer odds...

|World Cup Golden Boot Each-Way Bets|
|Gabriel Jesus (each way) Best Bet||14/1|
|Luis Suarez (each way)||25/1|
|David Silva (each way)||100/1|
Top Goalscorer Betting
Lionel Messi is 10/1 favourite after notching four goals during the 2014 World Cup but his heroics still weren't enough to secure Argentina a first major trophy since the 1993 Copa America. Argentina's group stage is far from straightforward this year as they meet Iceland, Croatia and Nigeria, so perhaps it is worth looking for a player who might be able to fill their boots during the group stages.
Brazil face Switzerland, Costa Rica and Serbia in their group, so the 12/1 about Neymar is appealing, albeit how fit is the striker after he missed the back-end of the season with Paris St-Germain? Neymar's compatriot, Gabriel Jesus, seemed to score in every game he played for Manchester City last term and his record at international level is impressive - nine goals in 14 starts. Jesus is 16/1 for the FIFA Golden Boot at this stage.
Tip #1: Gabriel Jesus top scorer @ 16/1 (each-way) with Bet365,
Cristiano Ronaldo is 14/1 and he will again carry the hopes of Portugal, while he will be hoping to enhance a woeful record that has seen him score just three goals in 13 games at World Cup finals.
Meanwhile, France's Antoine Griezmann (14/1) was top scorer at Euro 2016, Germany's Timo Werner (16/1) has scored seven goals in nine starts for the senior team and Harry Kane is 16/1.
Golden Boot Tips
With the possible exception of James Rodriguez in 2014, the Golden Boot winner tends to come from a nation that does well in the tournament. Belgium have been touted to go well this summer and Romelu Lukaku is 20/1 ahead of kind group games against Panama, Tunisia and England. However, Lukaku has struggled with fitness issues of late and Eden Hazard might be the better bet at 50/1 as the Chelsea playmaker notched six goals and five assists in qualifying. Hazard will be central to Belgium's hopes in Russia.
Luis Suarez is a huge 25/1 with Bet 365 and he looks a great bet after scoring five goals in eight games at previous World Cup finals. The Uruguayan striker has continued to bang in the goals for Barcelona this season (25 in 32 starts in La Liga) and he has the benefit of being in a very week Group A that includes Saudi Arabia, Russia and Egypt. Assuming he can avoid biting anyone, Suarez looks great value.
Tip #2: Luis Suarez top goalscorer @ 25/1 (each way) with Bet 365.
Another former Premier League 'bad boy', Diego Costa, could be worth a look at 25/1 as he averaged a goal every 81 minutes in qualifying for Spain but he is jostling with Rodrigo for a place in the starting XI.
Costa's teammate, David Silva, is a tempting 100/1 with Bet Victor after notching 12 goals in his last 20 international appearances. Silva is a mainstay of this Spanish team and he could make hay in the group stages against Portugal, Morocco and Iran, before a potential last-sixteen clash with one of the aforementioned teams from Group A.
Tip #3: David Silva top scorer @ 100/1 (each way) with Bet Victor.
