Croatia v England Odds
England have done remarkably well to reach this point and they appear to be playing without pressure, particularly during Saturday's 2-0 win over a poor Sweden side. This week's game will be their biggest test yet and they are 11/8 favourites for victory.
They have enjoyed the better of head-to-head meetings with Croatia, winning four of their seven clashes (drawn one, lost two). including a 4-1 win and a 5-1 win when they met most recently during qualification for the 2010 World Cup.
There is the promise of goals on Wednesday as England have kept just two clean sheets in their past eight internationals and both teams to score is 11/10 with Paddy Power - which is a bet that has paid out in each of Croatia's last three World Cup outings.
The Croatians, who finished third at the 1998 World Cup, were the stand-out team of the group stages but they have squeezed through the knockout games, beating both Denmark and Russia on penalties. Exhaustion could well be a factor for Zlatko Dalic's men and we wonder if they might tire as Wednesday's game goes on.
England should certainly be fresher and they can make their extra energy tell after a cagey first-half. Betfred go 5/6 for England to score last, although we are going to back the half-time draw and full-time England win at a tempting 19/4 with Unibet.
Croatia v England First Goalscorer Odds
It is no surprise to see that Harry Kane is 10/3 favourite to be first scorer with Paddy Power as he bids to add to his tally of six goals at the World Cup, while Croatia's Mario Mandzukic is 8/1 and that could prove be a big price as he will look to target the weak link of England's defence - Kyle Walker.
