Newcastle v Tottenham Odds

Few will be surprise to see Spurs as the clear favourite for their first game of the new Premier League season but there are one or two doubts about them.

The transfer window has been a quiet one for Pochettino with very little action for fans to get excited about, although they do have a new stadium to move into next month which should boost their morale.

The other issue for Tottenham is the late arrival to pre season for their world Cup contingent and that makes this opening weekend a tricky game for them. It remains to be see what part the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli play in this one having only just arrived back in training.

Newcastle have also been in the headlines for their lack of transfer activity and there is a dark cloud hanging over the Magpies as they start the season.

With that in mind, Newcastle are the outsiders with bet Victor for the three points at around 27/10, with the same firm rating Spurs as the 11/10 favourites for the win.

Expect A Low Scoring Game

These are two teams that might not be quite ready for the opening day of the season and that could lead to a cagey affair at St James' Park.

Newcastle are not known for their goal scoring threat although Rafa Benitez could give Saloman Rondon a debut after he arrived at the club from West Brom in the week.

Spurs are of course the safe bet here but this is a tough weekend given the doubts surrounding both teams. This is likely to be a quiet game to backing against both teams scoring looks the best bet at 21/20 with Bet Victor.
