England v Spain Odds
The bookmakers are struggling to separate the pair for this League A, Group 4 encounter as England and Spain are each priced 8/5 for the win by Ladbrokes.
England are unbeaten in fourteen internationals on home soil (winning ten, drawing four), although it is worth noting that Raheem Sterling misses this UEFA Nations League clash and Harry Kane has been looking tired.
Southgate's men struggled against the better teams at the World Cup and they have a poor head-to-head record against Spain, losing four of the last six meetings (drawn one, lost one).
The Spanish endured a turbulent World Cup as Julien Lopetegui was sacked on the eve of the tournament before they eventually succumbed to Russia on penalties in the knockout stages. Gerard Pique, David Silva and Andres Iniesta have since retired from international football.
Luis Enrique has been appointed as head coach and will take charge of Spain for the first time. He inherits a Spanish side that is unbeaten in 16 internationals away from home (outside of major tournaments), winning ten and drawing six.
This Spain team is brimming with quality and we don't see them losing at Wembley, where they are 19/20 to win with the 'draw no bet' (Ladbrokes).
Diego Costa misses the game through 'personal reasons', although another controversial character could be worth a look to get on the scoresheet. Sergio Ramos, who sometimes takes penalties for the national side, has scored three goals in four competitive games for Real Madrid this season and he is 13/2 to score at anytime with William Hill.
