Cincinnati Masters Betting

The Cincinnati, or Western & Southern Financial Group, Masters is a Masters 1000 event that takes place each year in August. It comes ahead of the season ending Grand Slam of the US Open and is a great opportunity for betting as punters can check out the form of the top players ahead of the pinnacle of the hard court season.

It is part of the ATP Tour and takes place in Mason, Ohio, and has done since 1899 which makes it the oldest tournament in the United States to be played in the same city.

Recent years have seen plenty of high quality winners, and Britain's Andy Murray could well be one to follow in the betting. He has claimed the Cincinnati Masters title in the past and has stated that the US Open is his favourite so it is worth looking out for his odds while the ATP Tour is in the USA.

Roger Federer is likely to be found at short odds as he has won the tournament multiple times in the past, while home favourite Andy Roddick has also enjoyed success in the past and could well represent some decent value in the betting.

The event follows on from the Canada Masters (i.e. The Rogers Cup) and with a prize purse of $2.43 million it is always well attended by the very best players

Cincinnati Masters 2011 Result

Andy Murray picked up the seventh Masters Series title of his career and warmed up for the US Open in fine style. The Brit beat Novak Djokovic in the final after the Serb was forced to retire with a shoulder injury with Murray leading 6-4, 3-0.

US Open

The US Open is the next Grand Slam in the ATP Tour calendar and the hard court event is always a thrilling tournament. It takes place at the end of August/beginning of September each year and is the final Grand Slam betting opportunity of the season.
