2011 Prix de L Arc de Triomphe Odds: Sarafina heads the betting for home team

Nineteen horses have held their entries for the 2011 Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe at the five day declaration stage, with the Alain De Royer-Dupre trained filly Sarafina the ante-post favourite for the race at odds of 5/2 with bookmaker Ladbrokes. There were no major ommisions from the draw on Tuesday, but plenty of betting activity as the likes of So You Think drifted and Snow Fairy continued to be backed. The market is beginning to settle down ahead of Sunday's big race at Longchamp and we've highlighted some of the major contenders.

Four year old filly Sarafina has been well backed for Sunday's Group 1. The Aga Khan owned daughter of Refuse To Bend us unbeaten in her last three starts, all at Group level. A runner up on season debut at Longchamp, she then went on to win the Group 2 Prix Corrida at Saint Cloud at the end of May before securing a fine Group 1 win in the Grand Prix de Saint Cloud in June. The win last time out here at Longchamp in a Group 2 cemented her place at the head of the betting for Sunday's big race.
