The 2011 PGA Championship from the Atlanta Athletic Club has been a veritable betting minefield for punters and Sunday's final round looks no different. With the likes of Tiger Woods missing the cut and pre-tournament favourite Rory McIlroy injuring his wrist early into his first round, it's a couple of relatively unknown Americans who share the lead going into the final round. Brendan Steele putted his way to a third round 66 to lead the field with Jason Dufner, who consolidated his third round lead with a 68 to share the lead on seven under par. Such is the inexperience of this pair, that neither head the betting going into the final round. That honour goes to Steve Stricker who is still hanging around following his excellent first round 63. A one under par 69 on Saturday has left Stricker on his own in fifth place, three shots off the lead and the market leader at odds of 9/2 with Paddy Power.
Dufner and Steele are second in the betting at 5/1 each a two with the former seemingly the more popular amongst punters. A non-American has won the last six major championships but it's odds on that an American wins this, the last major of the 2011 season. Fourth in the betting is Keegan Bradley who performed so well in the Bridgestone last week whilst veteran Scott Verplank is still in the mix. You can back Bradley and Verplank at odds of 13/2 and 12/1 respectively with PaddyPower.
