US Masters Final Round Odds: Mickelson Heads Betting to win 4th Green Jacket in Augusta

Sweden's Peter Hanson will tee off on Sunday as the leader of the 2012 US Masters, but it's the three time Green Jacket champion Phil Mickelson who is the bookmakers' favourite at Augusta. Hanson leads the field by one shot following a fantastic third round 65 which saw him move from two under par to nine under par for the tournament. Despite dropping a shot on the very first hole, Hanson then went on to record 8 birdies, including five of his last seven holes to lead Phil Mickelson by one shot. Bookmaker Paddy Power makes Hanson their 4/1 second favourite to win his first major championship.

Someone who has been there and done it is the aforementioned Mickelson who shot a fantastic third round 66 to go with his second round 68. Mickelson goes in search of his fourth win at Augusta on Sunday but looked out of it on the very first day when he was four over par after the first ten holes of his tournament. Since that moment Mickelson has had just three bogeys, but 13 birdies and one eagle to propel himself into contention. A winner here two years ago he certainly seems to have the edge of experience over the players around him on the leaderboard and it's no real surprise that he'll start round four as the 11/8 favourite with Paddy Power.
