West Ham odds on to stay up on return to the Premier League next season

West Ham face a tough task on their return to the Premier League during the 2012/13 season but they are odds on to avoid relegation at the first time of asking. Sam Allardyce's team sneaked back into the top flight through the Championship play-offs and they are 1/3 to stay up during the 2012/13 season with Sky Bet bookmakers.

Sam Allardyce's side had been expected to earn automatic promotion to the Premier League but had to do it the hard way through the play-offs, with the pressure very much on Allardyce after he replaced Avram Grant following the Hammers' relegation in the 2010/11 season. The dark days of Grant must seem like a lifetime ago to West Ham supporters after their play-off success but it is well worth remembering that they finished bottom, seven points adrift of safety, in the Premiership a year ago.
