Spanish F1 Grand Prix Odds: Hamilton Favourite as he Snatches Pole for McLaren

Lewis Hamilton will start the Spanish F1 Grand Prix on Pole Position for McLaren after he drove a phenomenal last lap in Q3 to pip Pastor Maldonado’s Williams and Fernando Alonso in his home Grand Prix in his Ferrari. The Bookmakers were quick to confirm Hamilton as the favourite for the race for which he has odds of 5/4 that are available via Paddy Power.

Qualifying produced a number of shocks with the biggest two of them being McLaren’s Jenson Button’s and Red Bull’s Mark Webber’s failure to qualify for Q3. It means that Button will start the race from 11th place with Webber one place behind. It was a particularly galling result for Webber who had started the last two Grand Prix’s in Spain from ‘pole’. Button has now been allocated odds of 16/1 to win the race with Webber no better than 20/1.
