Anniversary Juvenile Hurdle Betting: Grumeti can turn the tables on Countrywide Flame

The Anniversary 4-y-o Juvenile Hurdle is the second Grade One race on the opening day of the Grand National Meeting on Thursday. Rivalries from last month's Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham are set to be renewed as Grumeti and Countrywide Flame share favouritism at 7/2 with William Hill for this week's 2m 110yd contest for four year olds.

Grumeti went off favourite at Cheltenham Festival last month but a couple of jumping errors, including one at the last which cost him the lead, proved too much to overcome as he eventually finished third. The 4-year-old, who is a dual Grade Two win over hurdles at Kempton and Cheltenham, should enjoy the Aintree course much more on Thursday and the cut in the ground should play right into his hands.
