Deutsche Bank Championship Odds: Tiger Favourite but Consistent Stricker can Win Again

Tiger Woods is back in his customary position on top of the antepost betting market, this time the world number one, is favourite to win the Deutsche Bank Championship in Boston, the second of four Fed Ex Play-off tournaments and which will be contested by the top 100 in the Fed Ex points table. Woods has been given odds of 8/1 by Paddy Power who make defending champion, Steve Stricker second favourite at 11/1 with Phil Mickelson and top European in the betting, Rory McIlroy next best at 16s.

Woods of course is the reigning Fed Ex champions, but after his well reported year of woe he has been struggling and will start in Boston in 65th position and knows he will need to be in the top 70 to qualify for the next round, which is the BMW Open and takes place a week later. Nonetheless his 12th place last week strongly suggested that he is finding a way back and could be good value even with those odds.
