Ballabriggs heads betting for 2012 Grand National following entries announcement

The entries have been made for the 2012 Grand National with 82 horses declared on Wednesday. Amongst those entered are last year's winner Ballabriggs who bids to be the first horse since Red Rum to win back to back Nationals, whilst those prominent in the betting such as Junior and Synchronised both hold and entry. It's the Donald McCain trained Ballabriggs however who heads the ante-post betting with bookmaker William Hill who are going odds of 14/1 about a second consecutive win for the eleven year old.

Ballabriggs hasn't been seen on the racecourse since his triumph at Aintree last April and connections claim he'll turn out Kelso for a prep run in March much like he did last season.
