2012 Triumph Hurdle Odds: Baby Mix can continue Adonis winning form line

The JCB Triumph Hurdle kicks off proceedings on the last day of the 2012 Cheltenham Festival. This two mile and one furlong Grade 1 juvenile race is always popular with punters and we've also seen some good horses come out of the race in recent seasons. Last year the race was won by Zarkandar who went on to run in this season's Champion Hurdle as a five year old and other past winners include Celestial Halo and Katchit. The betting has an open feel to it for the 2012 renewal with the Philip Hobbs trained Sadler's Risk just about shading things at 5/1 with bookmaker Paddy Power.

Since the Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle was introduced to the Festival the fancied horses have been picking up the wins in this race, and punters will do well to look at horses rated over 140 for hurdling and over 80 on their flat form. Sadler's Risk ticks both of those boxes for Phillip Hobbs and the juvenile comes here after losing the Adonis Hurdle at Kempton by two lengths to Baby Mix. Before that he'd won impressively at Kempton by seventeen lengths in January but the fact that sixteen of the last eighteen winners won on their last run before the Festival might be enough to put some supersticious punters off!
