Novak Djokovic v Rafael Nadal Odds: World number one Djoker favourite to retain Australian Open title

The 2012 Australian Open will be played between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal on Sunday in Melbourne following the top seed Djokovic's semi-final win over Andy Murray on Friday. Bookmaker Bet365 makes Djokovic their odds on favourite to go on and lift the title for the second consecutive year and make it four wins out of the last five Grand Slams in the process. Nadal has had an extra day to recover from his semi-final win when he came from a set down to beat number three seed Roger Federer on Thursday night.

World number one Novak Djokovic had cruised through to the semi-final stage as he looks for a repeat of his win here twelve months ago. The Serbian beat Paulo Lorenzi, Santiago Giraldo, Nicolas Mahut, Lleyton Hewitt and David Ferrer on his way to the semi-finals. Andy Murray then gave Djokovic a massive scare and took the world number one to five sets in a gruelling five hour match. The character shown by Djokovic is what makes him world number one but it is a big ask to get himself prepared physically for Sunday's final having had 24 hours less rest than his opponent.
