If there was one race in the year that suited a horse its the King George VI chase as the three miles around Kempton is just perfect for Kauto.
Last season he won this race in a hack canter and he ran another excellent race on his return to the track in the Betfair Chase where he just got the better of Imperial Commander.
Many might think that the nose he won by on that occasion means that Imperial Commander offers the value bet at an each way price, but Kempton on better ground and over this easier track, plus Kauto will have come on for the race all means that he should finish well ahead of Imperial Commander come Boxing Day.

Others in the race that are worth consideration are Madison Du Berlais, winner of the 2008 Hennessy Gold Cup as he has a real liking for Kempton which was in evidence last season when he ran Denman into the ground in the Levy Board Chase.

All Horse Racing punters will be willing Kauto to win on Boxing Day, not only because they will probably have backed him, even at these skinny odds but more so because they would love to see Kauto Star and Denman take each other on in the Gold Cup come March at the festival.
