The Somersby Arkle Trophy Chase odds for the big Novice Chase at the 2010 Cheltenham Festival tumbled to 7/1 with SkyBet following his very impressive win in the Henry Vlll Chase at Sandown on 5th December, however punters are still able to back him at 8/1 with bet365.
It was the five year olds second Novice Chase win in two starts over the bigger fences after he had acquitted himself really well in his Novice Hurdle year, where he put in a best performance of 3rd in the Supreme Novices Hurdle behind Go Native, at Cheltenham, back in March.
The Arkle Trophy Chase in fact is shaping up to be one of the best races at the Festival and has a decided open look and feel to it. Top of the market is the very impressive, Sizing Europe who has taken to fences like a duck does to water and is unbeaten in three starts, winning them all with considerable ease. Sizing Europe is as short as 5/1 for Cheltenham but can be backed at 6/1 with bet365.

The Paul Nicholls trained Tataniano is another youngster who must come into the reckoning after two hugely impressive looking victories over fences this season. Emma Lavelle's Crack Away Jack who was second behind Somersby is by no means out of the picture. It is thought that he simply did not take to fences at Sandown in the heavy conditions and he will be far more suited to Cheltenham. His odds of 10/1 with Paddy Power to win the Arkle should not be ignored.
