The Twist Magic Champion Chase odds for the big Grade One at 2010 Cheltenham Festival tumbled massively after he ran his rivals into the ground in the Grade One Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown. The 7 year old has been cut to just 8/1 from 20s with virtually all Bookmakers but he is still available at 10/1 with Totesport
Winner of the 2007 Tingle Creek, Twist magic was ridden superbly by Ruby Walsh, who took him to the front from the start and simply powered to victory without seeing one of his four rivals during the race. Left in his wake was Big Zeb, thought to be the biggest challenger to Master Minded for the Champion Chase, who could only manage 4th place, a country mile behind and who once again was found wanting when it came to jumping. Big Zeb has now been eased in the Champion Chase market, from 4/1 to a best price of 10/1 with William Hill

Second horse home in the race was Forpadydeplasterer under Tony McCoy who ran a great race but was 15 lengths behind the winner at the finish. The 2009 Arkle Trophy Chase winner is still being aimed at the Champion Chase, but on this evidence he has at best only an outside chance; he is also a 10/1 shot with Ladbrokes
Perhaps the biggest disappointment in the race was Well Chief who had claimed the highly prized scalp of Master Minded last time out in the Connaught Chase. He failed to get into the race at any stage and finished in a distant third place. Well Chief is now best priced at 16/1 with Paddy Power. for Cheltenham.

Paul Nicholls, who trains both Twist Magic and Master Minded said that on his day Twist Magic is the best 2 mile chaser in the country, with the exception of Master Minded. This prompted Bookmakers to trim Master Minded's price for a third win in the Champion Chase to 7/4, which is available with most Bookmakers, including bet365.
Master Minded is currently off course with a rib injury which is likely to keep him out until the new year.
7/4 Master Minded, 8/1 Twist Magic, Big Zeb, Kalahari King, 10/1 Forpadydeplasterer, 12/1 Barker, Well Chief, 14/1 Voy Por Ustedes, 16/1 Crack Away Jack, 25/1 BAR>
