The Dubai World Championship Golf odds are showing us that its Lee Westwood who is the favourite to win the tournament in the betting and with it the Race to Dubai award following the third round. Westwood has had an excellent season so far which is seen him shoot up the world rankings and can be backed at 4/9 with Ladbrokes to claim the inaugural Dubai World Championship after a good showing on Saturday round to lead the tournament by two clear shots.
The Race to Dubai replaced the Order of Merit in 2009 and Westwood has been fighting it out with Rory McIlroy for the last few months to claim the crown and huge prize money. McIlroy himself is still in with a shout despite finishing Saturday with three consecutive bogies to be five shots behind Westwood and is now priced at 14/1 with Boylesports to win this weeks tournament. A win for the Westwood will see him snatch the Race to Dubai from Rory McIlroy so all eyes will be on him on Sunday.

The top 60 players in the Race to Dubai will play all four rounds as there is no cut and there is no shortage of potential winners in the field. The event gets underway on Thursday at the brand new Earth Golf Course which was designed by Greg Norman which should provide a good test for the players. Padraig Harrington is one who is in form and is always dangerous as he has showed so far this with and he is also five off the lead and is priced at a good looking 14/1 with Stan James to win the tournament in Dubai. He will fancy his chances of ending the season on a high note and we feel that at those odds offers great value as he is experienced under pressure in a big tournament..
