Challenge Cup Handicap Odds - Ascot Handicap Betting

The Challenge Cup Handicap odds for this weekend's big Handicap race at Ascot has the Sir Michael Stoute trained Marching Time as the 6/1 favourite. Those odds on this horse who has won his last two starts are available with VC Bet and they look good in what looks like the most likely contender in an otherwise open field of runners.

There will of course be much interest in Michael Bell's Redford, who was well down the field last in the Ayr Gold Cup behind Jimmy Styles, but in fairness the ground did not suit him and there are strong reasons this weekend that the ground will be wrong for him again. He is quoted at around 14/1 but can be snapped up still at 16/1 with Totesport. Jockey Hayley Turner remains confident about his chances however believing that he came out of the race in great shape and will be ready to run a big race this week.

We like the look of the Luca Cumani trained Axiom, who will be ridden by Kieran Fallon. He was sixth in the Royal hunt Cup at Royal Ascot, but was a worthy winner of the Classified Stakes at Glorious Goodwood at the end of July. The weights did him no favours last time out in the Totescoops Handicap at the York Ebor meeting but he is on a fair mark for this and could well return to winning ways.
