Derby Odds - Latest Derby Betting

The Derby odds for this Saturday's big race has the John Oxx trained Sea The Stars as favourite, despite the fact hat Aidan O'Brien has a six strong contingent in the race all with winning claims. Sea The Stars however has possibly the biggest claim of all having won the 2000 Guineas at the beginning of May, with Mick Kinane his jockey believing that he will get the 1½miles at Epsom comfortably.

Of the O'Brien six, it is difficult to get a handle on who is really there number one contender. Fame And Glory looked like the real deal after winning the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial, but with the stable having also won a couple of other trials including the Dante Stakes with Black Bear Island the picture is unclear. Lead stable jockey, Johnny Murtagh has elected to ride Rip Van Winkle, who finished fourth in the 2000 Guineas and it is not 100% sure if he will get the trip.
