Masterofthehorse Derby Odds Clipped to 9/1

The Masterofthehorse Derby odds shortened significantly after working exceptionally well at home following his Chester Vase defeat to stablemate, Golden Sword.

Trained by master trainer, Aidan O'Brien, Masterofthehorse came from last to almost pip Golden Sword at the post in the Chester race and many onlookers said that his defeat was the fault of jockey, Johnny Murtagh who was accused of holding him up too long. That said there was no doubting his turn of foot at the end of the race and under normal circumstances he would have easily won that race and would now be vying for favouritism for the Derby. Currently he is a 9/1 shot with Boylesports but punters can still get 14/1 from Ladbrokes
