World Darts Championship Betting

The World Darts Championship betting is taking more shape as the semi finals have arrived. There have not been too many shocks thus far, with the top three players all getting through. Raymond Van Barnevald the number two seed played sensationally well to overcome compatriot, Jelle Klaasen, winning by five sets to one and also fired in the first ever 9 dart leg in the World Championship, winning a £20k bonus in the process. He now plays James Wade, who struggled in his quarter final against Aussie, Paul Nicholson, finally getting through in a poor match by five sets to three. The first semi final brings togther thirteen times champion, Phil Taylor against Mervyn King. They both looked in good form in winning their respective quarter final matches. Taylor demolished the hopes of Dutchman Co Stompe, winning 5-0 and thus shortening his odds to win the title again to around the 2/5 mark. King outplayed Barrie Bates in his match, taking it by 5-2, but now has the daunting task of facing Taylor, a man who he has never beaten. Taylor is odds on 1/19 to win, while King backers can get good odds of 10/1 for him to cause a huge shock.
