The Oscar De La Hoya v Manny Pacquiao odds for the most eagerly anticipated boxing bout of the year see 'The Golden Boy', De La Hoya, as the favourite to win the fight in what will be only his fourth in as many years. The reason why Oscar De La Hoya is such a strong favoruite for this fight is becuase it is beng fought at Welterweight, the level at which De La Hoya has fought most of his fights throughout his career. Manny Pacquiao is much smaller and done all his fighting at a much lighter weight, the 147 pound limit for this boutis expected to be a step to far, hence De La Hoya being the strong favourite given his size advantage. It is not a forgone conclusion that the Golden Boy will register his fortieth career win but the longer the fight goes on, the greater the chance of a De La Hoya victory, however, Pacquiao is sure to be a tough opponent and a facinating fight awaits.
