Fighting Fifth Hurdle Odds
The Fighting Fifth Hurdle Odds for this week's Fighting Fifth Hurdle betting race now being staged at Wetherby after being cancelled at Newcastle last week, has the Nicky Henderson trained Punjabi as a distinct favourite in what has the makings of an excellent race and trial for bigger races to come later in the season. Punjabi, who was third in the 2008 Champion Hurdle, certainly justifies favouritism and will have Barry Geraghty on board
The Henderson horses have been flying in all over the place just lately and he had a four timer the other day, with Tony McCoy deputising for Geraghty.
Geraghty thinks highly of Punjabi and believes he has an outstanding chance to win the WXB Bonus of £1 million for wining the Fighting Fifth, the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton and the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham.

Punjabi will be taking on 2007 Champion Hurdle winner, Sublimity who has only made four race track appearances since winning the Cheltenham feature in 2007, including a creditable fourth place in the 2008 renewal in March. Sublimity is now under the care of new trainer, Robbie Hennessey, who reports that the horse is ready for action and will run at Wetherby. Harchibald winner of this race last year will also be in the field.
