Next Portsmouth Manager Odds

The next Portsmouth manager odds have been drawn up by the bookmakers following the departure of Paul Hart from Fratton Park. Hart has only managed two wins and a draw from his 10 games so far this season and the club sit rooted to the bottom of the Premier League with just 7 points.

The clear favourite for the job is current Portsmouth Director of Football, Avram Grant, who is as short as 6/4 with VC Bet

Grant is currently in Germany and apparently was not around when the news to sack Hart was broken. It is also believed that he has yet to obtain a work permit, meaning that if he is to be appointed then it will not be immediate. In the meantime first team affairs will be looked after by the club coach Ian Woan.

Also thought to be in the running is former Charlton boss, Alan Curbishley who is a 7/1 shot, but one man who has made late headway into the reckoning is former Peterborough boss, Darren Ferguson who is a short as 7/2 with Ladbrokes.

It would be ironic should Ferguson get the job as Pompey face his Dad, Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United at Fratton Park this weekend.
