The Breeders Cup betting is now fully available and prices have been quoted on all Breeders Cup runners throughout the two day World Championship meeting at the Santa Anita race track in California. But O'Brien is one of the canniest trainers around and he would not put Henry in the race if he believed he was going to get beat. O'Brien has suggested that his horse will easily get the extra two furlongs on that particular dirt surface.

Connections also know that if Henry can topple Curlin then his already high stud value will rise out of all proportion and would significantly strengthen the Coolmore arm.

Assuming Henry can get the better of Curlin, he may still have to worry about his recent QE2 conqueror, Ravens Pass. His trainer, John Gosden believes that Ravens Pass is in th form of his young life and he can repeat the dose over Henry. We doubt however that Ravens Pass will get the trip.
