Rip Van Winkle 2000 Guineas Odds
The Stan James UK 2000 Guineas is looking very open with the sponsors as the ante-post favourite Rip Van Winkle 7/1 (from 4) could only manage seventh in the Group 1 Darley Dewhurst at Newmarket on Saturday. The race was won by Intense Focus 16 (from 33/1) in a photo finish from Lord Shanakill and Finjaan. The fourth horse, Shaweel is 16/1 (from 20) with the fifth home, Delegator 20/1 (from 25). Rip Van Winkle 12/1 remains unchanged as second favourite for the Epsom Derby.

Stan James UK PR Manager Laura Stephens said: "We've taken the view that Rip Van Winkle 7/1 (from 4) needed the run. He had not been seen on the racecourse since July when winning a Group 3 at Leopardstown and he was very keen going to post, but there are bigger priced horses with Group 1 winning form."
