Henrythenavigator and Tamayuz clash in Ascot QE II Stakes Betting

The Group One QE II Stakes at Ascot on Saturday provides the stage for a mouth watering clash between two of Europe's top mile horses of the season in the form of Henrythenavigator and Tamayuz, who currently head the betting. Many bookmakers can't split the pair and go 6/4 each of two, with this price the best currently available about the Aidan O'Brien trained Henrythenavigator with Stan James and Ladbrokes. Other firms make the 2000 Guineas winner anything between a 5/4 and 11/8 chance. The only time he failed to win was when he was held up off the pace in the French Guinneas but with stablemate Racinger likely to set the pace at Ascot for him to cover, he has got a big chance of adding to his growing reputation.

This race looks almost certain to be a two horse battle, with perhaps Ravens Pass proving the next best alternative in the unlikely event that both the principles are not up to the task. Aidan O'Brien cannnot be discounted in any Group One event, especially given his near perfect record in such races this year, however, a young prentender to the throne maybe emerging in the form of Freddie Head and in Tamayuz, he has a horse that maybe has that little bit more than Henrythenavigator.
