Next West Ham Manager odds
The next West Ham Manager odds have seen the bookamkers install Slaven Bilic as the hot favourite in the wake of the Alan Curbishley's sudden resignation. Curbishley has resigned due to his anger over the transfer of George McCartney and Anton Ferdinand from West Ham to Sunderland. He reluctantly accepted the Ferdinand deal, but the McCartney transfer was conducted without his knowledge, consent or approval and that appears was the catalyst that has sparked his departure.
This is a very similar situation to that of the Kevin Keegan controversy at Newcastle. There has been mutterings for several months that Curbishley was on his way out and even he has said that he felt like he was keeping the managers seat warm for another man. That other man might well be Slaven Bilic, the current coach of the Croatian National team.

Former West Ham player Bilic, would be an instant hit with the Upton park faithful, however, early reports from Croatia suggest he is happy to stay in charge of the national team as they emabrk on the World Cup 2010 campaign. Davide Ballardini is a surprise inclusion in the list but is believed to be a good friend of Hammers Chairman, Bjorgolfur Guamundsson. He is current manager of Serie A side, Palermo, and it wouldn't take much convincing to take the job.
Harry Redknapp is a surprising 5/1 bet to make a return to the club where he made such a big impact during the 90s, however, it would be difficult to see him return under the current structure, which saw Curbishley leave. One of Redknapp's players at West Ham, Paolo Di Canio is well fancied but has limited managerial experience. Sam Allardye is available at 16/1 and with his record in the Premiership, could well be the pick of the English managers, however, the betting would suggest that a foreign coach is favoured by the Icelandic owners.
