US Ryder Cup Team Selection Odds

The US Ryder Cup Team selection odds for the final four wild card picks has Steve Stricker as clear favourite for one of the berths, Scott Verplank seems a likely second pick and JB holmes is third in the betting to be Paul Azinger's third pick. The fourth spot however is wide open and it will be very interesting to see who Azinger goes for. Amongst those in the betting are, Woody Austin, Brandt Snedeker, Sean O'Hair, Bubba Watson and Hunter Mahan to name but a few.

Without Tiger Woods in the team, the US look a mediocre side at best. With the exception of Phil Mickelson and perhaps Jim Furyk, they have no-one in the team that Nick Faldo and his European side should fear. Young ‘rookie' Anthony Kim is certainly an emerging talent and he is one that could perform really well. The experience of Kenny Perry, three times a winner on tour this year, and Stewart Cink, also a big winner this year will strengthen the side but the remainder in the betting for a place all leave something to be desired.
