While those two battle it out for favouritism, Ice Queen waits silently in the shadows and will be expected to go one better than her narrow defeat to Moonstone in the Irish Oaks. The O'Brien Group One form is simply too good to ignore, we have been warning punters all season that O'Brien has been targeting Group One's where his success rate has been outstanding.

Ice Queen will have come on for the run in the Irish Oaks and she could be yet another who gets home with attractive odds on her back to win. She is currently 5th favourite at around the 8/1 mark but is likely to shorten with the expected withdrawal of Jim Bolger's, Lush Lashes. The race may go through a few changes in the market as the prospect for improved going diminishes. The two race favourite's Passage of Time and Promising Lead may also be withdrawn, although it is hoped that at least one of them will line up. Odds are 5/2 Promising Lead, Passage of Time, 4/1 Lush Lashes, 5/1 Michita, 8/1 Ice Queen.
