The Premier League betting odds has a familiar look to it with the season upon us. Man Utd are the firm favourites with all the online bookmakers at around 11/8 to go on and take their third league title in as many years. Ferguson has managed to keep his best player at Old Trafford for another season but that will probably be that for Ronaldo and United and we predict that he will never produce the level of performances at the Manchester club as he did last season and it will be up to the rest of the United squad to fill the 40 odds goals he scored this and in future years.

Chelsea are as short as 7/4 to win back the title they won 3 seasons ago, and they have a much better chance of doing so under the inspirational Scolari. He will unite the Stamford Bridge superstars and are credible challengers to United this season. Arsenal are 6/1 and will probably start the season well with all the young guns blazing but they do not have the depth in squad required to sustain their challenge into the later half of the year as the pressure of multiple games and injuries are bound to take their toll. Liverpool are 7/1 and they could have been real contenders had they secured Barry but it looks like the same boardroom issues exist and this will leave them struggling similar to last season as history has a habit of repeating itself.

When having your Premier League bets for this season make sure that you do not let the first few results of the season impact your long term point of view, remember last season when Man Utd had a really awful start but managed to make up ground after their first 5 games. Our tip for the title this season is Chelsea at 7/4.
