USPGA Golf Tip
Our USPGA Golf Tip for this weeks PGA Golf Championship in Oakland Hills is the exciting young American golfer, Anthony Kim. At 33/1 we think he is certainly worth an each way punt in a tournament that is completely open. Americans quite naturally have dominated the event over the years but without Tiger Woods in the field this time the non Americans have a better chance than usual. Kim is a two time winner on the PGA tour this year and has shown promise in all the Major events, particularly the British Open last month at Royal Birkdale, where he enjoyed finishing in a tie for 7th place. He is a certainty for the US Ryder Cup team this year and he has certainly got the game for a very high finish this week.

It is pretty much well known that the Europeans have a poor record in this event, they have never won it since it reverted to its stroke-play format in 1959 but this year there are a number of players who played very well on this course in the 2004 Ryder Cup, particularly Lee Westwood and Sergio Garcia. They each contributed 4.5 points to the European tally during that Match and both can say with conviction that they tamed the course known to the golfing world as the ‘monster'. Padraig Harrrington is another worth a close look, he seems ultra determined to follow up his two British Open wins with a third ‘Major' and if he gets a good start he will be one of those to follow to the end. As we said it is more open than ever this year and any player could win if they play well enough; but for a good value tip we advise you to stick with Kim on an each way bet basis.
