Totesport Mile Odds
The Totesport Mile Odds at Glorious Goodwood this Friday see last weeks Ascot winner, Laa Rayb installed as 9/1 favourite to follow up his victory. It would appear that trainer, Mark Johnston, has persuaded the horse's owner, Sheik Ahmed to run Laa Rayb despite the owners policy of not allowing his horses to run within 14 days of their last run. It is an indication of how keen Johnston is on the horse's chances.

Laa Rayb, who was priced at 18/1 at Ascot ran the almost perfect race under jockey Royston French bursting through at the end to win by a length and a quarter from Dhaular Dhar. The win made up for the withdrawal of stablemate and favourite Lovelace who had worked himself up at the start and had to be withdrawn. Laa Rayb's odds will not be so good this week however but they are still attractive enough at 8/1 to back him each way. It is not a bad race for favourites, having won for the last four years. Dhaular Dhar also takes his chance at Goodwood this week and he is 16/1 to win. The Goodwood course is a lot trickier than that of Ascot and French will probably be instructed to settle just off the pace before making his final burst. Odds: 9/1 Laa Rayb, 10/1 Masaalek, Master of Arts, 12/1 Gold Sovereign, 16/1 Dhaular Dhar, Fifteen Love, Lang Shining, Little White Lie, Yadree.
