The Ebor Betting has seen Stan James take antepost favourite Milne Graden out of their Totesport Ebor Handicap betting following the defeat of the Jeremy Noseda gelding in today's Detica Summer Stakes at Goodwood won by Luca Cumani's Sanbuch who was cut from 20s to 12s for the York highlight. The Newmarket handler saddled the 1-2 and the runner up Bauer was originally left at 12/1 but punters latched onto the fact that Cumani suggested on Racing UK that Bauer without a penalty might be the one for the Ebor and the second was cut into 9/1 for the valuable 12f event. Milne Graden had his stamina to prove and it will be interesting to see if connections persevere with the Ebor plan as he looked a doubtful stayer this afternoon.

Luca Cumani's Bauer heads the betting with the sponsors totesport at 7-1 (from 16) for the totesport Ebor following his second to stablemate Sanbuch at Goodwood today. Sanbuch is 10-1 from 16-1 but may miss the race, as could stablemate Mad Rush (9-1).

Spokesman Damian Walker said: “Bauer ran a storming race and escapes a penalty for York so we cut him to 7-1 from 16-1. “Cumani now has the Ebor favourite in Bauer, 10-1 chance Sanbuch and 9-1 shot Mad Rush, but after the race he suggested that Bauer would probably be the stable's main contender.”
