Canadian Open Golf Odds
The Canadian Open Golf odds stack up firmly in favour of defending Champion, Jim Furyk. He has won the tournament for the past two years and is in determined mood to make it three in a row. Furyk, fresh from his latest attempt to win the British Open last week at Royal Birkdale, was not going to let his efforts there prevent him from defending his Canadian Crown and he scampered back across the Atlantic in quick style to get here for practice. He performed well at the Open tying for 5th place so looks to be in good form. Jet lag over, he is now on course and up for the challenge. His main rival is likely to be home favourite, Mike Weir, who despite many close efforts has failed to win the one tournament he desires most outside of the Major's. He came closest in 2004 but lost in a play off to Vijay Singh, much to the disappointment of the partisan crowd, who have not seen a Canadian winner of their home open since 1954. In 2004 the Tournament was played at the Glen Abbey Golf Club and it returns there this year which will suit Weir. It is the most used venue for the Canadian Open. Weir will no doubt be looking to go one better this year and without Singh in the field his chances have already increased.

Other form players who represent good value in the betting are two time 2008 winner, Anthony Kim, Canadian Stephen Ames and twice US Open winner, Retief Goosen. Unfortunately the Canadian Open loses some of its appeal with some golfers as it comes in the wake of the British Open; nonetheless it is an excellent event on an excellent course.
