King George V1 Tip
Our King George V1 Tip for this week's King George V1 & Queen Elizabeth Stakes betting Group One race at Ascot is the Sir Michael Stoute trained Papal Bull. The tip received a boost yesterday when Sir Michael announced that top French jockey, Olivier Peslier was now confirmed for the ride. Papal Bull, who ran second at Newmarket behind Lucarno, in the Group 2 Princess of Wales Stakes earlier this month has come out of the race fantastically well and is in fine form and he will now take his chance in a race that has always been his target this season. Most people were convinced that Ryan Moore would ride the horse, after seeing Sir Michaels other entrant, Ask, drift badly in the betting market out to 20/1. This is of course is utter balderdash, like so much other racing speculation. Moore will ride Ask in the big race, but there are serious concerns about the firmness of the ground for him. There are no such worries for Papal Bull however, who's connections expressed their absolute delight in the booking of Peslier for the ride.

Papal Bull is currently a 9/1 chance in the market and is fully expected to reverse the form with Lucarno and is set to give odds on favourite, Duke of Marmalade a real run for the money and at 9/1 he is most certainly worth each way consideration. Lucarno is priced at 8/1 while Ask has a new steady price of 12/1.
