King George & Queen Elizabeth Tip
The King George & Queen Elizabeth Tip for this week's King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes betting race is the Mick Channon trained Youmzain. Runner up in the Prix d'arc Triomph in 2007 Youmzain was in spellbinding form earlier this month when winning the Group One Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud. Channon had difficulty hiding his delight with the win and he will take on the Ballydoyle trained Duke of Marmalde with confidence high this week. The horse came out of the race in great form and will be rode more prominently in the King George as he did in Paris. The change of tactics obviously worked well, with the horse showing he could go with a quick pace and could respond at the end.

Bookmakers are obviously impressed and have cut his odds into 7/2 but they are taking no chances on Duke of Marmalade and the Aiden O'Brien team. Their record in Group One races this season is unreal and it is with great difficulty that they are opposed. However, Channon remains bullish and will expect his good run to continue following Nahoodj success last week; we think he might just do it too. Odds are 4/6 Duke of Marmalade, 7/2 Youmzain, 10/1 Ask, 14/1 Lucarno. Macarthur, Papal Bull, 28/1 Campanologist 33/1 Bar.
