Smart, who trains out of Hambleton won the race in 1999 with Don Puccini. He is hoping that the ground will not ride to slow as Visterre is a very speedy horse who got off the mark at Musselborough last month after a disappointing run at Carlisle. She ran very green at Musselborough but still managed to win and she comes to the race in fine form. Smart said that the race is the sort that anything could win but the track and conditions at Newbury should suit her perfectly.

We however are going to stick with Penny's Gift who is clearly one of the class horses in the race, she may start favourite at around 2/1 but this should not deter backers who should look to back her ante post. Visterre can be backed currently at 13/1.
