On his debut Magaling ran very well to finish just behind winner Khor Dubai in a 6 furlong maiden at Yarmouth, the winner, the Godolphin trained, Khor Dubai, had ran a very creditable 9th place in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot a week or two before. Cumani believes it was a very impressive debut run and like all Cumani's 2 years old's, Magaling will come on oodles for the run and should also fill out a little more to give him that much more strength by the time of the Ebor meeting in August.

The Gimcrack is one of the biggest races for 2 year olds in the country and has produced some big name winners, including Rock of Gibraltar, who won in 2001 for trainer Aiden O'Brien and jockey Mick Kinane.
