The latest Arc De Triomphe betting has seen support for Mick Channon's Youmzain who was an impressive winner of the Gp1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud. Youmzain was last year's runner up in both the King George and Arc was has been cut with Stan James to go one better this year. At the Curragh Frozen Fire landed the spoils in the Irish Derby for Aiden O'Brien but it was an unsatisfactory race and the winner was cut for the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes to 10/1 from 50/1 and given a first show of 12/1 for the Arc. Sponsors Stan James cut Mastercraftsman from 25/1 into 20/1 for the 2009 Stan James 2000 Guineas following his narrow success in the Group 2 Railway Stakes. Aidan O'Brien has now saddled the winner of this event in 10 of the last eleven years and three of those winners have gone onto Guineas glory including Rock Of Gibraltar and George Washington.

Head of PR Charlie McCann: "Youmzain has never quite had the recognition he deserves but today's facile success suggests he is better than ever at the age of five and we have cut him from 12s into 6/1 for the King George at Ascot next month and 12s into 7s for the Arc at Longchamp in the autumn. The Irish Derby was unsatisfactory with at least a couple of hard luck stories but Frozen Fire was well on top in the end but who can tell if the best horse won the race?"
