Nadal Wimbledon Odds
Rafael Nadal Wimbledon odds are far less generous this year than they were in 2007, due to the obvious improvement he appears to have made on grass. This improvement was evident last week at the Queens Club where he beat one his main Wimbledon rivals, Novak Djokovic, in two straight sets. Nadal looked superb in winning this title, his first on grass, and looked every bit as unstoppable as he did when winning the French Open for the fourth time a couple of weeks ago. He came very close to toppling, the reigning Champion, Roger Federer, in last year’s final, which many people believe he could have won in four sets. Nadal also has a widening psychological advantage over his nemesis, the manner of his victory in the French Open final was simply awesome, he only gave Federer four games in three sets – in their head to head clashes Nadal has 11 victories to Federer’s six.

Federer however remains the 5/4 favourite to win his sixth Wimbledon crown in a row, thus surpassing the record of the legendary Bjorn Borg. There is little doubt that Federer has been King of grass, but there is also little doubt that he is losing his air of invincibility. Djokovic beat him in the Australian Open in January and he has suffered several other defeats during the course of the year. Nadal is 7/4 to win the most prized title in world tennis, while Djokovic is listed at 7/2. An interesting outsider is Croatian giant, Ivo Karlovic. He almost got the better of Nadal at Queens last week., losing in two tie break sets 6- 7 6-7. His serve is without doubt the fiercest at Wimbledon this year and he seems in very good form. He can be backed as an each way shot at 100/1. He is favourite at around 7/4 to score the most aces in the tournament.
