Derby Betting
The Derby betting has New Approach as joint favourite (4-1 from 9-2) with totesport for the Vodafone Derby following today's 48-hour declaration stage. Totesport said that on Monday morning New Approach wasn't even in our Derby betting, but three days later Jim Bolger's colt heads our market at 4-1 along with Casual Conquest. New Approach has been the best backed horse with totesport since we re-introduced him into the betting on Monday at 6-1. By contrast, Casual Conquest has been weak in our betting. He was a 5-2 shot on Monday and looking certain to start favourite, but has been friendless in recent days and is out to 4-1.

In the Saturday's totesport.com Dash at Epsom. Masta Plasta (6-1) and Hogmaneigh (7-1) are at the forefront of the market with the sponsors. Spokesman Damian Walker said: "Hogmaneigh hasn't won since landing this event last season, but he showed he was approaching peak form when a fine sixth at Newmarket last time. He wants a pace fast and some cut in the ground and there's a good chance he will get both this Saturday. "Masta Plasta was a comfortable winner at York last weekend and would have been even shorter in our betting but for the fact that he has was well beaten on the two occasions he has raced downhill, at Epsom and Goodwood."
