Doctor Fremantle Derby odds have remained around the 10/1 mark despite several tips for him from the racing world. Dr Fremantle is one of three horses trained by Sir Michael Stoute and all three have some sort of chance to win. In his first race this season he was beaten by Bronze Canyon in a Newmarket handicap, but the Stoute stable was way out of form at that time but they are all firing now.
Dr Fremantle was not originally entered for the Derby so connections have had to stomp up the £75,000 to supplement him for the race, something they would not do lightly. Bronze Canyon also runs in the Derby, but Dr Fremantle will have his measure this time.
