Curtain Call Derby Odds
The Curtain Call Derby Odds have been a tad unsteady at anything between 3/1 - 6/1. Paddypower
This is due to the uncertainty of whether or not Casual Conquest and New Approach would run. Now they have been declared, Curtain Call should steady up and will probably start the race as second or third favourite at around 5/1.
Trainer, Luca Cumani, has reported his colt as thriving ahead of the Classic this Saturday. He had a nice canter around Epsom at the ‘Breakfast with the Stars’ event last week and seems in great form. He had a good run with jockey, Jamie Spencer on board and liked the ground.
Sara Cumani, wife of the Trainer has stated that “things could not have gone better; he is happy, well and cheeky”. An interesting comment considering, Curtain Call has not raced since winning a mediocre maiden at Nottingham in April and was pulled out of the recent Lingfield Derby trial due to fast ground.

The good news for him however will be that the ground will be right for him on Saturday, there will have been plenty of rain around by then and he should be well suited to the Epsom Downs. Jamie Spencer is one of the best judges of horses around and he is very happy with the colt and will go into the race full of confidence.
Cumani of course has won the Derby in both 1998 and 1988 and would love to maintain the sequence for 2008. He certainly has a chance according to the ‘bookies.’
